Abstract
The paper provides a functional, practically oriented overview of the concept and technical possibilities of monitoring the neuromuscular fatigue via the electromyographic and the mechanomyographic signals, as essentially related to the muscle contraction and intimately mirroring muscle activation and contraction mechanisms. The Fast Fourier Transform-based and Wavelet Transform-based techniques are critically analyzed, illustrated and discussed, on the international arena and through original work.
